I don’t really know how to begin this post. I went out on a limb a couple weeks back and contacted a photographer whose work I admire to see if she would do a coaching session with me. Well Anna Grace did way more than just “coach” me. This wonderful photographer helped guide me down the path I’m taking with my photography.

his evening was a very special photo shoot. Rachel and Stephen were celebrating their first year of marriage! They picked Federal Hill in Baltimore as the site for their pictures, because two years ago (almost exactly) was where Stephen proposed to Rachel.

I love the holidays. I have been playing Christmas music since October. I know, I KNOW. There are the purists out there who believe there must be no Christmas until at least after Thanksgiving, but preferably starting no sooner than December 1st. I love the joy that goes along with the holiday. How can anyone be sad when singing about snow, warm fires and cookies?!

t has been a crazy busy couple of days, but that’s the way I prefer my holidays to be. I love getting to see all the people I care about and eating lots way too much food. In the 4 years Bryce and I have been together our holidays have always been spent separate because we felt it was easier on everyone. It’s hard to change holiday traditions and when both your families eat Thanksgiving “dinner” at 1pm its just simpler to say forget it. This year I decided I wanted to make it work that we both could be present at one another’s family Thanksgiving.

ou might recognize Amanda and Mike from an earlier post (actually many posts, she’s my sister!) and this time around they were just as fun to photograph! It was a cold and blustery day but we managed to get some seriously great pictures out of it! It helps when your subjects are super photogenic and fun to be around. Every couple of seconds Mike was making Amanda laugh (which makes for GREAT pictures). Its easy to see why they are together.
